An informal Welcome Reception will be held in conjunction with registration on Sunday, 23 June in the Estrel's Summer Garden -- home to majestic, shady, chestnut trees, and beautiful views of the Neukölln. This will allow you the opportunity to enjoy Berlin with your colleagues for the remainder of the evening.

Monday Evening Reception
The Orangerie, Charlottenburg Palace

The Orangerie at Charlottenburg Palace is one of the most grandiose locations in Berlin. Come enjoy the magnificent baroque architecture of this historic noble residence built in the 1700s as a way to preserve the royal citrus fruit collection. Relive history and experience the Orangerie like the nobles did when it was transformed into a summertime venue for splendid court festivities and balls.

The reception will also provide you with the opportunity to tour the Charlottenburg Palace Museum/Old Palace. Sophie Charlotte, the first Queen consort in Prussia, was not only an accomplished musician, playing the harpsichord and singing Italian opera, but also strolled through the grounds here with her friend, the renowned scholar and philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. When Sophie Charlotte died, just 36 years old, the palace and the area around was named Charlottenburg after her. Today, this is the largest and most magnificent palace in Berlin - a highlight for any Berlin visitor.

As the museum provides limited access at a specific time only, we ask that you help us to coordinate your visit to the museum/palace by indicating your attendance when you register for the Conference. Those that select the tour option will receive a ticket on-site at check-in. The ticket will specify the assigned tour time.

No conference is complete without a banquet. Join us on Wednesday evening in Convention Hall I for a delicious meal and a chance to network with colleagues. Please come and enjoy an evening filled with good company and entertainment provided by local performers. If you wish to purchase banquet tickets, you may indicate this on your registration form. Please note that your conference registration does not include a banquet ticket.
