Berlin-Tegel
Air Travel

Berlin is served by two major airports - Berlin Tegel Airport TXL and Berlin Schönefeld Airport SXF.

Berlin Tegel Airport TXL

Public Transportation
Travel to the Estrel on the X9 bus line from the airport to the "Jungfernheide" bus stop. Transfer then to the S42 S-Bahn commuter train line (Ringbahn) until you reach the "Sonnenallee" stop. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes.

Taxi
The taxi ranks at Tegel Airport can be found in the inner ring of Terminal A at Gates 6 - 9 and outside Terminal C and E. A taxi ride to the Estrel is about 30 minutes and costs approximately €47.

Berlin Schönefeld Airport SXF

Public Transportation
Take the 171 bus line until you reach the "Sonnenallee" stop and you will arrive at the Estrel. The journey takes about 40 minutes.

Taxi
The taxi ranks can be found on the approach to Schönefeld Airport, right outside Terminal A. A taxi ride to the Estrel is about 15 minutes and costs approximately €30.

Ground Travel

Parking
The hotel has its own underground parking garage offering 450 parking spaces (€18 per day).

Train Travel

Berlin Central Train Station (Hauptbahnhof)
To travel to the Estrel, take the M41 bus line until you reach the "Ziegrastraße" stop. The journey takes about 40 minutes on the bus, while a taxi takes approximately 20 minutes and cost about €20.

Südkreuz Station
Take the S42 S-Bahn commuter train line (Ringbahn) until you reach the "Sonnenallee" stop and you will have arrived at the Estrel. The journey takes about 10 minutes by train, while a taxi takes approximately 14 minutes and costs about €18.

Ostbahnhof Station
To travel to the Estrel, take either one of the S5, S75 or S9 S-Bahn commuter train lines until you reach the "Ostkreuz" station. Then transfer to the S41 S-Bahn line (Ringbahn) and continue until you reach the "Sonnenallee" stop The journey takes about 15 minutes by train, while a taxi takes approximately 15 minutes and costs about €16.

Public transport tickets
To reach the Estrel using Berlin's public transport facilities, you will require a single journey ticket for the AB zone costs approximatley €2.70 (Exception: Please note that when travelling from the Berlin-Schönefeld Airport SXF, you will require an ABC zone ticket costing approximately €3.30). You can purchase tickets at the BVG service counters, the BVG ticket vending machines located in the S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations or on busses directly from the driver (please have change ready for bus drivers).
